Structure of Nokia BB5

The latest Nokia mobile phones have a dual processor is BB5 type. This group has the sophistication of mobile phones that are not owned by the group earlier Nokia (DCT3, DCT4, DCT4WD2). Nokia BB5 phones like Nokia 6630, 6680, 6680, 6681, N Series.


I. Processor
Second Processor which plays an important role as the brain of the phone are:
- RAP3G (Radio Application Processor 3G), which
functions to manage the device's main work processes. The voltage obtained from the VIO retu 1.8 Volt, 1.4 Volt and Vcore of TAHVO.
- OMAP (Open Multimedia Audio Processor) which controls the user interface such as Camera, MMC, keypad, LCD, etc.. OMAP got a supply voltage of 1.8 Volt retu the VIO. Each processor has its own memory. RAP3G have NOR Flash + SDRAM, while the OMAP with Combo Memory APE


II. Memory

As data storage required by the mobile phone used type of memory as follows
- NAND Flash (Combo Memory APE) that are accessed by the OMAP processor. This memory contains the application data and user data User Interface settings. NAND Flash get a supply voltage of IC Power retu namely VIO VDRAM 1.8 Volt and 1.8 Volt.
- NOR Flash + SDRAM (CMT Memory) is memory that contains data vital primary functions of the phone contains the firmware, calibration certificates and IDs. VIO supply voltage is 1.8 volts of retu.

III. Regulator Power Supply

Component Power Supply, or better known as IC Power on the phone this BB5

also divided into two parts:

- Main Power IC retu is assigned to provide the supply voltage on the CPU, the SIM Card, and Startup Power and other vital tension. Also process the audio signal (Vibrator, Microphone, Earphone and Speaker Phone). Damage to retu interchangeable causes total dead cell phones and other damage.

- VINKU is a component of the transmitter signal from the mic to RAP3G to VINKU and amplified by the PA and transmitted to the provider.

IV. Other components

Other components are

- GSM & WCDMA PA in charge of strengthening that comes from VINKU ouputsignal.
- Antenna Switch set the receiver and transmitter signal paths in and out.
- Bluetooth Bluetooth ICs control the work function to transfer data at 2.4 GHz frequency bands.
